What is Visual Effects?
Visual Effects (VFX) is a film making process by which imagery is created or manipulated outside the context of a live-action shot. VFX, spanning all the three phases (pre-production, production & post-production) involves the seamless integration of live-action footage (special effects) with generated imagery (digital effects) using computer-generated imagery (CGI) and animation and compositing software to create environments which look realistic, but would be unviable or impossible to capture on film. As a powerful technology which is helping film makers to explore new stories and add impact to the visual narrative, VFX is accelerating the growth of the global media and entertainment industry.

What is Animation?
A captivating art based on the persistence of vision, animation comes alive when a series of static drawings, minimally differing from each other, move in rapid succession, typically at 24 frames per second to create an illusion of movement. There are different types of animation including Traditional Animation (2D, Cell, Hand Drawn), 2D Animation (Vector-based), 3D Animation (CGI, Computer Animation), Motion Graphics (Typography, Animated Logos) and Stop Motion (Claymation, Cut-Outs). Animation is one of the fastest growing verticals of the global film/media and entertainment industries.
